A RESOLUTION PROPOSING A BUDGET DECREASE FOR THE CITY-
COUNTY BUILDING FUND.
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville is
hereby decreasing the City-County Building Rental Fund in the amount
of $52,250.00; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council of said City has determined that
since this amount of money may not be necessary to be budgeted for
the year 1984; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council of said City hereby stands on
record that if and when monies may be so needed; and,
WHEREAS, said Council will be willing to either by loan or
special appropriation allocate it's proportionate share.

Gentlemen:
In an effort to help reduce the proposed city 1984 rate the Directors of
the Building Authority are willing to make the following reductions in
their Fiscal 1985 budget (~tarting July 1, 1984).

T~y feel this cut of $52,280.00 is as much as they can cut the budget.
This would allow a reduction of $0.015 from your advertised budget fig-
ure. This offer is conditioned upon a written resolution by you to the
effect ~f the roof or other major maintenance is encotmtered you would
be willing to make a loan of the city's proportionate share from ~ts_%~
~nulative caoital fund. The Cmmty's assessed valuation is in excess
~-f $306]O00,~00'~-0.--Thus 'a reduction of $52,250.00 in the fiscal 1985
budget only lowers the county's rate $0.009. The Building Authority
does not feel it can lower the propo§ed budget below the '$217,750.00
figures set forth above.
