An Ordinance Vacating a Public Right-of-Way
WHEP~AS, the Redevelopment Commission of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, has petitioned the City to vacate the
following described public right-of-way in the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana, to-wit:
Ail of that portion of Peaceley Street and Green Street
in the City of Jeffersonville bounded as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corne~'~of Block No. 9 in the
Plat of the Town of Claysburg (now the City of Jeffersonville)
running thence South with the east line of Green Street 148
feet, more or less, to the north line of New Peaceley Street;
thence West at right angles crossing Green Street to the
west line of Green Street a distance of 40 feet, more or
less; thence North with the west line of Green Street and
crossing Peaceley Street to the north line of Peacely
Street a distance of 188 feet, more or less; thence East
with the north line of Peaceley Street a distance of 40 feet,
more or less; thence South crossing Peaceley Street a distance
of ~0 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning and
containing 7520 square feet of land.
and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has approved and
recommended such vacation,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED that the public right-of-way
above described be a~d it hereby is vacated.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
