BE IT ORDAINED that Sections VI and VII of Ordinance No. 75-0R-32 be amended to read as follows: H~oliSays An employee SECTION VI shall receive his/bet regular rate of pay for each of the thirteen (13) holidays listed providinM said employee shall have worked the i~nediately preceeding scheduled work day and the next succeeding scheduled work 'day unless excused for vacation days. 1. Christmas Day ~During non-election years, the Primary and General Election holidays may be taken at the discretion of the employee as long as his/her absence will not interfere with the normal working operations of the City. listed holidays fall on a Saturdey, the. on the immediately preceeding Friday. If an employee works on any of the above listed holidays, he/she shall receive one and one-half times his/her regular rate of pay as full compensation for holiday leave pay. SECTION VII .Vacations An employee shall ~e entitled to vacation'leave with pay according to the following schedule: 1. After one (l~.year of. employmeut~ five (~) working days vacation; 2. After t~ree (3) years of employment, ten (10) working days vacation; 3. After ten (10) years of employment, fifteen (l~) working days vacation; 4. After twenty (20) years of employment, twenty (20) working days vacation. Unused vacation time may not be accumulated from year to year. If an employee resigns or is terminated on or after January I but before July I of a calendar year, he/she ~hall be entitled to one-half She above stipulated number of days of vacation leave during said calendar year.
