BE IT ORDAINED BY TIlE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of
Jeffersonv~lle, Indiana, that the Building Code of the City
of Jeffersonv]]]e as amended by Ordinance No. 70-OR-11 be
further amended to State as follows:
C~HAPTER 2 Section 217 - WOOD SHINGLES
Wood shingles shall not be used in the roofing of new
structures, the re-roofing of structures, or in any other
manner unless sa~d wood shingles have been "fireproofed-,
and proof of sa].d ~reatment is provided in writing from
the manufacturer of the wood shingles to the Building
Commissioner. Pr]or ~o the use of any such wood shingles,
such proof must be provided ~o the Building Commissioner
and he mush issue a permit specifically allowing the use
o~ these ~tems.
