An ordinance Amending Section 18-10 of the
City Code of the City of jeffersonvil]e and
Ordinance No. 78-OR-9.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
jeffersonville, Indiana, that Section 18-10 of the City code
of the City of jeifersonvi]le and Ordinance No. 78-OR-9 are
amended as follows:
Section 18-10
(a) The rates to be charged by taxicabs for service to
passengers shall be based upon a mileage rate. The rate shall
be one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) for the first
quarter mile or portion thereof and twenty cents ($.20) for
each additional two-tenths (2/10) m~]e thereafter. Delivery
of items for any particular business outside the corporate
limits shall be chargeable at the rate of two dollars ($2.00)
for the items delivered plus sixty cents ($.60) per mile traveled.
(b) In addition, the taxicab shall be entitled to charge twenty
cents ($.20) for each minute of waiting time; provided, however,
that such time shall not be charged unless the passenger has
requested the taxicab to wait.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval. ~
Duly adopted by the Common Council this ' day of
