BE IT ORDAINED that Section XIV of Ordinance No. 75-OR-32
be amended as follows:
If it becomes necessary to reduce the work force of any
Department in the City, the last employee hired shall be laid
off first; and when said Department'S work force is again increased,
the employees are to be returned to work in the reverse order
in which they were laid off.
Heads of Departments shall be excluded from this provision.
This ordinance shall not in any manner affect the disciplinary
regulations set forth in the City Code or ordinances r~lating
thereto. This Ordinance shall not apply to the Police Department
of the City or the Fire Department of the City.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval, according to the laws of
the State of Indiana.
