The
SECTION 1
Mayor of the City of Jeffersonville may call
the Common
Meeting
Council of the City of Jeffersonville into Special
pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 36-4-6-7.
SECTION 2
Pursuant to the urovlsions of I.C. 36-4-5-8, if an Aching
Mayor has been appointed, the Acting Mayor may call the Common
Council into a Special Meeting.
SECTION 3
In the event that the Mayor or the ACting Mayor, if one
has been appointed, is abse~ from ~--~, ill, or injured,
nhe Presidenn of the Common council may call the Common Council
into a Special Meeting.
SECTION 4
A majority of the elected members of the Common Council
may call the Common Council into a Special Meeting.
SECTION 5
The individual or individuals requesting said Special
Meeting shall initiate said meeting b? making request of the
JefferSonville City Clerk-Treasurer, who ~hall, acting in his
capacity as Secretary tO the Common Council, notify all members
of the Common Council of the date, time and place of the Special
Meeting. In addition, the Clerk-Treasurer shall notify the
Mayor, the Jeffersonville City Attorney and all members of
the local press who have requested such notification pursuant
to statute.
This Ordinance hereby repeals, evokes, repl'ace$ or m~difies
any existing Ordinance, Resolution, Order, Council Rule, or
provision of the City Code or any part thereof which
conflict with this Ordinance.
SECTION 7
This Ordinance shall become eff
