AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF PLANS NECESSARY TO ASSIST IN THE STABILIZATION OF
THE OHIO RIVER BANK ALONG RIVERSIDE DRIVE IN
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of jeffersonville
to promote necessary efforts to assist in the stabilization
of the Ohio River bank along Riverside Drive in order to deter
further deterioration; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL that
it authorizes the appropriation of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000)
in funds from the City's Cumulative Capitol Improvement Fund
to be used for the preparations needed to begin this stabilization
process.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL that it authorizes
the City of Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment to administer
these funds which will be used in the development of this stabilization
plan and further directs said Agency to make additional development
recommendations regarding the functional and aesthetic usages
of the riverfront area as determined necessary.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
