A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POSITION
OF VICE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE OF COMMON COUNCIL
WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana law:, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
shall at its first regular meeting of the calendar year choose from its members a presideut pro
tempore to preside whenever the executive is absent.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville desires to also elect a vice
president pro tempore fi'om its members who is competent to perform the duties of president in the
absence of the president.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Com~cil of the City of
Jeffersonville, that the Common Council shall elect from its members a vice presi&nt pro tempore
at its first regular meeting of the calendar year.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, that
the vice president pro tempore shall perform the duties of president in the absence of the president.
