Resolution Establishing Black History Week.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana, is deeply interested in the cultural and ethnic back-
ground of its constituents, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council believes it is in the best
interest of the City of Jeffersonville to designate
February 13, 1984, to February 21, 1984, as Black History Week.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the
City of Jeffersonville that February 13 through February 21
is hereby designated as Black History Week.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution
shall be provided to the local media in order that it may gain
the City of Jeffersonville,
