A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE BEAUTIFICATION AND
CLEANUP OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana, is vitally interested in maintaining the beauty,
cleanliness and maintenance of the City; and
WHEREAS, Spring has been the nraditional season for
"cleanup, paint-up and fix-up" activities; and
WHEREAS, all citizens of the City of Jeffersonville have
a civic responsibility to maintain their own real and persona]
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council that
the months of April and May be designated as the City Beautification
Months and all citizens are urged no "cleanup, paint-up and
fix-up" their property.
It is further resolved that the City of Jefferscnville,
through its Departments, shall provide all assistance possible
in the removal of debris, in determining the standard of repair
and maintenance and in providing the citizens of the City with
advice from its Police and Fire Departments on methods no avoid
theft and fire losses.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the City Departments are
unable to obtain cooperation on required cleanup or repairs,
they will take whatever steps are possible and use all means
at their disposal to enforce the provisions of the City Code
concerning these matters.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
