RESOLUTION CONCERNING ESTABLISHMENT OF A FIRE DISTRICT
IN jEFFERSONVILLE TOWNSHIP
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of
jeffersonville believes that the creation of a fire district
in jeffersonville Township, without sufficient study, would
not be in the best interest of the citizens of jeffersonville
and the citizens of jeffersonville Township; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of jeffersonville
believes that sufficient time should be allowed to study the
request for a fire district within jeffersonville Township-
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council
of the City of jeffersonville that the Clark County Board of
Commissioners is hereby requested to delay any action on the
request of the creation of a fire district within jeffersonville
Township until such time as the full effectS and ramifications
of the creation of a fire district for the citizens of the
City of jeffersonville and jeffersonville Township can be fully
evaluated.
