ORDINANCE CONCERNING PLAN COMMISSION
AND THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of 2effersonville believes that
the broadest possible dissemination of information concerning governmental action
is a primary duty of local government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED as follows:
When a petition is flied with the 3effersonville Plan Commission for:
A. The rezoning o£ property
B. The development of a new subdivision
C. The expansion of an existing subdivision
OR
When a petition is filed before the Board, of Zoning Appeals for:
A. A use variance
B. A developmental standard variance
the Building Commissioner's office shall notify all landowners adjacent to the
concerned property by regular first class mail prior to the hearing of the time,
date and place of the hearing and the general nature of the petition. The notice
shall also include a statement that the hearing is a public meeting and that all
concerned parties may attend,
The petitioner shall, upon the filing of the petition, pay to the Building
Commissioner's Office the following fees:
A. Initial filing fee for one (1) petition, $50.00
B. Each additional petition, $25.00
C. Postage and handling fee $10.00 per petition
The petitioner will bear the expense of all advertising in both local
newspaper publications and will be solely responsible for providing this information
to the newspaper in a timely manner.
In the event the petition is continued at the request of the petitioner, said
petitioner will again pay a fee of $10.00 to the Building Commission. However,
should the continuance result from any Cause other than the petitioner's request
the $10.00 fee shall be waived.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval and publicated as required by law.
