AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
%85-OR-30 A~ TITLE 9 CHAPTER 95.27 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of
Jeffersonville, County of Clark, State of Indiana, that
Ordinance %85-OR-30 and Title 9, Chapter 95.27 of the Code
of Ordinance of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana are
hereby amended as follows:
Section %1: That Ordinance %85-0R-30, section 13-64
and Title 9, Chapter 95.27 of the Code of Ordinance of the
City of jeffersonville, are hereby amended as follows:

(A) On the street leading from the river edge to the top
of Riverside Drive, there shall be no parking of motor
vehicles for a period of time exceeding the time
necessary to put a boat in the river or to take a boat
of the river. There shall be no vehicular parking-on
the riverbank except by lessees possessing licenses
issued pursuant to this subchapter. With the exception
of boat docks numbered 79 through 91, 60 through 62, 74
through 78, and 92 through 93, which are currently
designed as commercial areas, no further commercial boat
docks shall be allowed between the portion of the
riverbank from Jeffboat to the J.F.K. bridge. There
shall be no parking South of Riverside Drive except for
those individuals holding boat docks in that area.
Commercial parking shall be allowed in designated areas
only, which designated areas shall be determined and
designated by the Common Council of the City of Jeffer-
sonville.
(B) Upon the issuance of a license to the individuals
renting boat docks, they shall receive on an annual
basis a sticker which they may attach to each vehicle
which they own and which they provide proof to said
common council of the City of Jeffersonville of owner-
ship, which sticker shall have the number of the boat
dock which they are assigned prominently displayed upon
it. The sticker shall be of a nature that they are
readily identifiable by the police department.
(C) Those individuals who are using the commercial
establishments which have boat docks shall not in any
manner infringe upon the areas designated as parking
for the other boat dockers.
(D) It is expressly set out in this ordinance that the
common council of the City of jeffersonville shall
designate commercial parking herein and the board of
public works and/or the executive department of the City
of Jeffersonville shall have no authority whatsoever
without prior approval of the common council of the City
of Jeffersonville to limit, restrict, or any way
infringe upon the parking area herein designated to the
boat dock owners.
