TITLE 7 OF TEE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of
Jeffersonville, County of Clark, State of Indiana that the
provisions of Ordinance 980-OR-6 and Title.7 of the City Code
of the City of Jeffersonville are amended as follows:
The provisions of Ordinance ~80-0R-6 and Title 7 of the
City Code of the City of Jeffersonville are amended as
follows:
Section 86 of Ordinance #80-0R-6 and Title 7 Sections
72.07 and 72.08 of the City Code of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
are amended as follows:

(A) The Conm~on Council of the City of Jeffersonville
· shall have the sole power to authorize the erection of
signs indicating "No Parking" upon either or both sides
of any street adjacent to any school property when the
parking would, in the opinion of the common council,
interfere with traffic or create a hazardous situation.
(B) When official signs are erected indicating "No
Parking" upon either side of a street adjacent to any
school property, as authorized herein, no person shall
park a vehicle in any designated place.

(A) Ail vehicular parking is prohibited according to
the schedule and chapter 75, schedule #1. Which
schedule refers to prohibited parking in residential
areas.
(B) The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville is
hereby authorized to determine and designate by proper
signs, places not exceeding 100 feet in length in which
stopping, standing or parking a vehicle would create an
especially hazardous condition or would cause delay in
traffic.
(C) When official signs are erected in residential
areas, at hazardous or congested places as authorized
herein, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle
any designated place.

Section ~7 of Ordinance ~t80-0R-6 of the City of Jeffer-
sonville and Title 7 Chapter 75, schedule 3 is hereby amended
as follows:

(A) Residential parking is allowed only on the
following streets: French Street between 10th Street
and llth Street on both sides of the street as
authorized by Ordinance ~80-OR-6; Howard Avenue between
10th and llth Street on both sides as authorized by
Ordinance ~80-0R-6; Pratt Street between 10th Street
and llth Street on the East side as authorized by
Ordinance 980-0R-6; llth Street between Pratt Street
and Howard Avenue on the South side as authorized by
Ordinance #80-OR-6;
(B) Residents may obtain residential parking stickers
from the police department;
(C) The Common Council hereby designates and authorizes
the board of public works to be responsible for any and
all resolutions regarding residential parking only.
Section ~8 of Ordinance ~80-0R-6 of the City of Jeffer-
sonville and Title 7, Chapter 72.12 of the City of Jefferson-
ville, Indiana,Code of Ordinances is amended as follows:

· he Conm~on Council of the City of Jeffersonville is
hereby authorized and required to establish bus stops,
bus stands, and stands for all passenger-carrier motor
vehicles on the public streets in the places and in the
numbers as they shall determine to be of the greatest
convenience to the public, and every bus stop, bus
stand, taxi stand, or other stand shall be designated by
appropriate signs as determined by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville.
Section #10 of Ordinance #80-0R-6, of the City of Jeff-
ersonville, Stat~ of Indiana and Title 7 Chapter 72.02 of the
City of Jeffersonville Code of Ordinances is hereby amended
as follows:
72.02
The Common Council by ordinance may limit parking at
any time it is deemed in the public interest on any
street, alley or thoroughfare or other public place and
the limitation shall become effective upon the Common
Council authorizing the posting of appropriate signs in-
dicating the limitations.
This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage,
approval and publication as required by the laws of the State
Indiana.
