ORDINANCE CONCERNING A POLICE OFFICER'S SERVICE WEAPON

When an eligible sworn City Police officer retires after
service or more, or when a sworn Police

Police Pension Board, the Police officer is
a retirement badge and service weapon in
his or her service to the PoIice Department and
the public. Upon his or her retirement, the Department shall
issue to the Police officer a retirement badge and an identification
card that gives the Police officer'S name and rank, signifies
that he or she is retired and notes the Police officer's authority
to retain a retirement badge and service weapon.
This ordinance shaI1 apply to all Police officers who
have retired since January 1, 1977.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect following
its signing and publication as required by ].aw.
