HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-OR-17 WHEREAS, the jeffersonville Board of Parks and Recreation
desires to sell a tract of land located at 415 East Chestnut
Street, jeffersonville, Indiana, said parcel being hereinafter
more particularly described; and
is
WHEREAS, the jeffersonville Board of Parks and Recreation
an agency of the City of jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS, the property has been appraised at more than
$10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of Indiana Code Section 36-1-11
are applicable to this sale; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville
believes that it would be in the best interest of the City to
sell said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
that it hereby authorizes the jeffersonville Board of Parks and
Recreation to transfer the property described below to the individual
who submits the highest and best bid for the property.
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that the jeffersonville Board of
Parks and Recreation is authorized to execute any and all documents
required for the transfer of the property set forth below.
Said property is located in the City of jeffersonville,
Clark County, State of Indiana, and described more specifically
as
follows:
Part of Lot No. One Hundred and Sixty-Seven (167) and bounded
as follows: Beginning at ~he Southwest corner of said lot,
running thence Northwardly along the west line of said lot
One Hundred and Forty-One feet Eight inches to the line of
Mary Woodburns lot; thence Eastwardly along said line Thirty-
Four feet Four inches; thence Northwardly Seventy-One feet
and Four inches (more or less) to the alley; thence Eastwardly,
along said alley Thirty-Seven feet, Four inches to the East
line of said lot; thence Southwardly along said East line
Two Hundred and Thirteen feet to Chestnut Street; thence
Westwardty along Chestnut Street Seventy-One feet Eight inches
more or less to the place of beginning.
Also, a parcel of land consisting of pa~t of Lot 166 of the
old Town of jeffersonville, now the City of jeffersonville,
clark County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at
the Southeast corner of said Lot 166; thence Westerly along
the south line of said lot 35.9 feet; thence Northerly along
a line parallel with the East line of said lot a distance of
100.0 feet; thence Easterly along a line parallel with the
South line of said lot a distance of 35.9 feet to the last
line of said lot; thence Southerly along the East line of
said lot a distance of 100.0 feet to the point of beginning
and containing 3.590 square feet, more or less.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
