ORDINANCE CONCERNING PUBLIC HEALTH AND sAFETY IN
AREAS OF THE CITY ZONED SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE (R-l)
WHEREAS: The Common Council of the City of
jeffersonville believes that the parking of large commercial
vehicles in the front yards of areas zoned Single Family
Residence, R-l, creates a health and safety problem in that
it blocks the line of sight in such areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that no commercial
vehicles which are of such a height or length to effectively
block the line of sight of individuals entering or traversing
City streets in areas zoned Single Family Residence, R-l, shall
be allowed to be parked in the front yards of residences.
For the purpose of the Ordinance, front yard shall
be defined pursuant to jeffersonville Code Section 156.03.
Anyone v~olating this Ordinance shall, upon conv~ction
court of competent jurisdiction, be fined not less than
in a
Five Dollars ($5.00) or more than Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00).
