WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville
in expressing feelings of their respective constituencies always
endeavors to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of citizens
of the City; and,
WHEREAS,
Mr. Tony Willis has devoted himself to the
eschewed by those serving as educators of our
praiseworthy goals
youth; and,
WHEREAS, his dedication to these goals as embodied in
his endeavors as Journalism Instructor at jeffersonville High
School have recently earned him distinguished recognition as Indiana
Teacher of the Year; and,
WHEREAS, this recognition is a matter which has brought
great pride to the Greater Clark County School Corporation,
jeffersonville High School, and all of the citizens of
jeffersonville.
RESOLVED by unanimous proclamation of
City of jeffersonville that Mr. Tony
IT IS, THEREFORE,
the Common Council of the
Willis is to be offered our most sincere congratulations for his
outstanding achievements as an educator, for the recognition which
he recently received and richly deserved, and for the enormous
pride which his achievements have bestowed upon this community.
SO RESOLVED this 17th day of October, 1987.
