WHEREAS, it is apparent that the jeffersonville High
School 1987 Red Devil Football Team has dedicated itself to the
goal of achieving excellence; and,
WHEREAS, this dedication has reaped the rewards of an
undefeated season, Hoosier Hills Conference Championship and lofty
State ranking; and,
WHEREAS,
the IHSAA Sectional
the Jeff Red Devil Football Team is entering
Playoffs against arch rival New Albany.
IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED by unanimous proclamation of
the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville that its sincerest
congratulations are extended to the members, staff and supporters
of the Jeff Red Devil Football Team for the distinction and honor
which it has brought to this community by virtue of its accomplish-
ments to date, and that we offer our sincerest support in wishing
the Red Devils "Good Luck" in defeating the New Albany Bulldogs,
capturing a Sectional Championship and achieving their ultimate
goal of a Class 5-A State Title. WE'RE PROUD OF YOU!
