WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonvllle
recognizes the necessity of realizing additional revenues from
its providing of City improvements and services; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
is desirous of providing the finest Parks & Recreation Depar%men~
facilities which are feasible within its budget; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
has been advised by the Mayor of the City of Jeffersonville that
the Parks & Recreation Departmen~ is currently contemplating a
beneficial lease arrangement regarding the installation of a waser
slide a5 Ewing Lane Pool which installation at the very least
would guarantee that the City expend no monies out-of-pocket,
other than those funds necessary to pour concrete footers for the
installation of said slide; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
deems this project to be a proper function of the Parks & Recreation
Department, the Council does now officially lend its endorsement
to any efforts made by the Parks & Recreation Department in this
regard, which efforts might ultimately result in increased City
revenues and improved facilities in the Parks & Recreation Department
1987.
