RESOLUTION NO. 87-R-J~
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
wORKS TO ENTER INTO ANUTUAL AID AGREF/iENTWITH
THE McCULLOUCH VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION TO
PROVIDE FIRST ALARM MUTUAL AID TO CERTAIN SCHOOLS WITHIN THE
McCULLOCH VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION FIRE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of January, 1987, the Fire
Chief of the City of jeffersonville, State of Indiana re-
ceived a request from the fire chief of the McCulloch Volun-
teer Fire Department requesting first alarm mutual aid for
certain schools in the McCulloch Volunteer Fire Department
fire district; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jefferson-
sonville, State of Indiana, feeling that the welfare of our
community children would best be served by granting said re-
quest for the McCulloch Volunteer Fire Department.
IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED BY THE jEFFERSONVILLE CITY
COUNCIL as follows:
(1.) That the Board of Public Works of the City of
jeffersonville, State of Indianaw enter into a mutual aid
agreement with the McCulloch Volunteer Fire Department.
(2.) That the terms of said agreement shall authorize
the jeffersonville Fire Department to provide first alarm
mutual aid to the McCulloch Volunteer Fire Department between
the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. and 5:00 o'clock P.M. Monday
through Friday at the following schools located in the
McCulloch Volunteer Fire Department protection area:
River Valley Middle School, wilson Elementary school and
Riverside Elementary School. ~_
