WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville
has reviewed the provisions of House Bill 1050, which Bill allows
counties to establish county health corporations to assume powers
and duties of local health departments; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
believes that such a bill would not be in the best interest of
the City of jeffersonville and the County of Clark, in that it
would create another taxing district and another layer
bureaucracy; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council
of
