RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AN AREA TO BE AN ECONOMIC
REVITALIZATION AREA PURSUANT TO PREVIOUS DECLARATIONS
WHEREAS, the common Council of the City of jeffersonville
is authorized pursuant to the provisions of Indiana code
6-1.1-12.1-et seq. to create ,,Economic Revitalization Areas"
with the City of jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS, plat maps and legal descriptions of the areas
previously declared Economic Revitalization Areas have been
presented to the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville;
and
WHEREAS,

and occupancy because a lack of development,
of growth, deterioration of improvements, or
of occupancy, age, obsolescence, substandard
or other factors which have impaired values and
normal development of property or use of property

related obsolescences which may lead to a decline in employment
and tax revenue; and
That said areas are hereby declared ,,Economic
Revitalization areas within the City of jeffersonville,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE

seq., a required hearing was held by the Common Council of the
City of jeffersonville on October 3, 1988; and

That said declaration shall apply only to property within
said area which is or shall hereafter become zoned for and used
for industrial or commercial purposes and is not to include
agricultural or residential uses within said area; and
That said declaration is to remain in effect for ten (10)
years or until terminated by this council, provided, however,
that said declaration is to continue in effect with regard to
any real or personal property which is qualified for tax
abatement during the ten year period set forth hereinabove for
purposes of such abatement; and
That a copy of the legal descriptions declaring areas to
be Economic Revitalization Areas are fully set forth in
Resolution No. 88-R-27, a copy of which is attached heretO as
Exhibit A for purposes of identifying
Revitalization Area as declared herein.
