RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF ENDING THE BUILDING AUTHORITY
MEETING ON JUNE 15, 1988, IN ORDER TO REQUEST
APPOINTMENT AS OPERATING AGENT
WHEREAS,
advised the
they request
the County Commissioners of Clark County have
Common Council of the City of jeffersonville that
the City of jeffersonville to join in asking the
jeffersonville-Clark County Building Authority to appoint the
City and County as operating agents for the city-County
Building pursuant to terms of the existing lease; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville
believes that it is economically advantageous for the city and
County to be directly responsible for the bills incurred in
operating such building; and
WHEREAS, the Council further believes that direct
operations of the building by the City and county will lead to
greater public accountability.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of jeffersonville that Council President Perkins,
Mayor Orem, and City Attorney Fifer should attend the
jeffersonville-Clark County Building Authority meeting on June
15, 1988,

and should join in the Clark County's request that
and County be appointed as operating agent for the
Authority for the period of one (1) year pursuant to
the terms of the lease.
