RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF DENIAL OF INDIANA CITIES WATER
CORPORATION RATE REQUEST CURRENTLY PENDING
BEFORE THE UTILITY REGULATORY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Indiana Cities Water Corporation serves the
Citizens of Jeffersonville, as well as other areas in Clark
County., Indiana; and
WHEREAS, Indiana
providing water service
Cities
to areas
Water Corporation has been
in the corporate boundaries of
the City of Jeffersonville at rates pursuant to Order Number
37582 of the Public Service Commission since June 12, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Indiana Cities Water Corporation has shown no
compelling necessity for the increase in rates as requested

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by unanimous proclamation
of the Common Councilw of the City of Jeffersonville that it
urges the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission to deny the
current rate increase request by Indiana Cities Water
Corporation.
