RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS,
jeffersonville
commonly known as the
Project; and,
WHEREAS, it

the Department of Redevelopment of the City of
is engaged in administering a Redevelopment Plan
Falls Landing Riverfront Development
has been brought to the attention of the
the City of jeffersonville that certain real
property

which was originally deeded by the Department of
the City of jeffersonville for purposes of
exit ramp for Interstate 65 now needs to be
to the Department of Redevelopment in order to
to said property in order to effectuate a closing
and in order to vest title in the successful
purchaser of said property;
WHEREAS,
is desirous

the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville
of assisting in the full implementation and
of the Falls Landing Riverfront Development
Project.
NOW,
the City
attached
the map
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
of jeffersonville that the real property which is
hereto as Exhibit A, which is more clearly shown on
which is attached hereto as Exhibit B is hereby to be
transferred by deed to the City of jeffersonville Department of
Redevelopment for the sum of Twenty Seven Thousand Dollars and
No/100 ($27,000.00), due and payable upon the closing of
contractual agreements with DeMars Haka Development, Inc., with
regards to their development of parcels within the Falls
Landing Riverfront Development Project, and the Mayor and the
Common Council President are hereby authorized to execute such
deed to the jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment in order
to effectuate such transfer. Statutory authority for this
transfer is found in I.C. 36-1-11-8, and pursuant to the
provisions thereof is therefore resolved by the Common Council
that this transfer take place.
