CONFIRMING RESOLUTION DECLARING AN AREA TO BE AN
ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
has previously adopted Resolution No. 89-R-35 at its regular
meeting on October 2, 1989, wherein it designated the area
bounded by ~-~ ~n
the city of jeffersonvilte, Indiana, as an
Economic Revitalization Area under the provisions of I.C.'
6-1.1-12.1 et seq; and
WHEREAS, this resolution has been filed in the office of
the Clark County Assessor and notice of this resolution has
been published in accordance with Indiana Code 5-3-1 setting
forth that a public hearing on this matter shall be set for
November 6, 1989, at the Common Council regular meeting prior
to final action modifying, confirming, or rescinding the
declaratory resolution of the Council; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was held this date at the
Common Council's regular meeting and all persons and
remonstrators who believe that there were aggrieved by the
designating action of the Common Council were given an
opportunity to be heard in conformity with the governing
Indiana law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville that it hereby confirms the
designation of the area bounded by Mitchell Avenue on the East,
by Fourteenth Street on th~ South, by the City Boundary on the
West, and by Kopp Avenue on the North, in the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, and previously described in Resolution
No. 89-R-35 adopted by the Common Council as an Economic
Revitalization area with all the benefits pertaining thereto
being available under governing Indiana law. The Common
Council will hereafter entertain all petitions and Statement of
Benefits seeking application for property tax reductions which
shall be limited to a period of ten (10) years for improvements
to real property and fiv~
equipment installed within the
