CONFIRMING RESOLUTION DECLARING AN AREA TO BE AN
ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
has previously adopted Resolution No. 89-R-25 at its regular
meeting on September 5, 1989, wherein it designated the
property more specifically described in Exhibit A attached
hereto as an Economic Revitalization Area under the provisions
of I.C. 6-1.1-12.1 et seq; and
WHEREAS, this resolution has been filed in the office of
the Clark County Assessor and notice of this resolution has
been published in accordance with Indiana Code 5-3-1 setting
forth that a public hearing on this matter shall be set for
October 2, 1989, at the Common Council regular meeting prior to
final action modifying, confirming, or rescinding the
declaratory resolution of the Council; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was held this date at the
Common Council's regular meeting and all persons and
remonstrators who believe that there were aggrieved by the
designating action of the Common Council were given an
opportunity to be heard in conformity with the governing
Indiana law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville that it hereby confirms the
designation of the area more specifically described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and previously described in
Resolution No. 89-R-25 adopted by the Common Council as an
Economic Revitalization area with all the benefits pertaining
thereto' being available under governing Indiana law. The
Common Council will hereafter entertain all petitions and
Statement of Benefits seeking application for property tax
reductions which shall be limited to a period of ten (10) years
for improvements to real property and five (5) years for new
manufacturing equipment installed within the Economic
Revitalization Area as designated hereinabove.

Jeffersonvtlle of Clark County, Indiaga, being the same tracts
conveyed to Wyandot, Ibc. at Deed Drawer 22, Instrument 1693 and
Deed Drawer 21, Instrument's 7964, 7965 and 7966, and bounded as
follows:
Beginning at an iron pin in the south line of Peacely Street
which marks the northwest corner of Lot 25 in the Town of
Claysburg, thence the following courses of the boundary:
South 84 deg. 05 min. 54 sec. East, 194.69 feet with the south
right-of-way line of Peacely Street and the north line of
said Lot 25 to a railroad spike in the centerline of the
vacated part of Green Street,
South 6 deg. '09 min. 51 .seq. West, 149.41 feet to a railroad spike
in the north right-of-way line of New Peacely Street;
North 83 deg. 50 min. 09 sec. West, 20.00 feet to an iron pin in
the west right-of-way line of Green Street;
South 6 deg. 09 min. 51 sec. West, 60.94 feet with said right-of-
way to an iron pin at the southeast corner of Lot 30, Town
of Claysburg;
North 84 deg. 05 min. 54 sec. West, 180.48 feet with the line
between Lots 30 and 31 to an iron pin in the east line of a
twenty (20) foot ~ide alley;
North 7 deg. 44 min. 24 sec. East, 210.36 feet with said alley to
the True Place of Beginning and containing 0.926 acres of
'land.
