A Resolution Granting Consent to the Town of Sellersburg,
Indiana, to Annex Territory within Three (3) Miles of the Corporate
Boundaries of the City of jeffersonville, Indiana.
WHEREAS, the Town of Sellersburg, Indiana, has petitioned for
consent of annexation of territory contiguous to the boundaries of
Sellersburg, Indiana, which territory is designated by Exhibit
~ attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-4-3-9 requires that a town obtain the consent of
the legislative body of a second or third class City before annexing
territory within three (3) miles of the corporate boundaries of the
City; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Sellersburg is proceeding with responsible
planning and conforming to the requirements of state law, is working
on a fiscal plan and definite policy for providing services to the
proposed areas and landowners who have requested to be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the Common Council of the City
of jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana that:
1. The Common Council of the City of jeffersonville, Clark
County, Indiana, hereby consents to the annexation of the territory
presented in Exhibit ~ , attached hereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this ~-~ day of September, 1989, by the

DESCRIPTION OF ANNEXATION AREA ~F'
Beginning at s point in the west right-of-wsy line of State
Road No. 60 which is the intersection of said right-of-way line
and the extension of'the southeast line of 8 tract conveyed to J.
Schafer at Deed Drawer 6, Instrument No. 4314, said point being on
the line of the present boundary of the Town of Sellersburg and
also being the place of beginning of this description.
Thence the following courses:
Southeastwardly with the west right-of-way line of State Road No.
60 to the east corner of a tract conveyed to William GibsoD at
Deed Drawer 22 Instrument No. 4238;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with the southeast line of
said Gibson tract, and with the extension of said line, to a point
on the west right-of-way line of Interstate 65, said point being
on the present town boundary;
Thence northwardly with said right-of-way and the present town
boundary to a point which is the intersection of said right-of-way
with the extension of the northwest line of a tract conveyed to V.
Scott at Deed Record 174, page 45;
Thence northeastwardl~ With said line and the present town
boundary to a point in the west right-of-way of State Road No. 60;
said point being this north corner of the aforementioned V. Scott
property;
Thence with said west ~right-of-way of State Road No. 60 to the
point of beginning and containing acres of land, more or less.
