A Resolution Granting Consent to the Town of Sellersburg,
Indiana, to Annex Territory Within Three (3) Miles of the Corporate
Boundaries of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
WHEREAS, the Town of Sellersburg, Indiana, has petitioned for
consent of annexation of territory contiguous to the boundaries of
Sellersburg, Indiana, which territory is designated by Exhibit
attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-4-3-9 requires that a town obtain the consent of
the legislative body of a second or third class City before annexing
territory within three (3) miles of the corporate boundaries of the
City; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Sellersburg is proceeding with responsible
planning and conforming to the requirements of state law, is working
on a fiscal plan and definite policy for providing services to the
proposed areas and landowners who have requested to be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the Common Council of the
of Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana that:

DESCRIPTION OF ANNEXATION AREA 'C'
Being a part of Survey No. 87 of the Illinois Grant and bounded
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the west right-of-way line of
Interstate 65, said point being the east end of the line between
Anderson and a parcel belonging to the University of Southern
California, which is the place of beginning.
Thence the following courses;
In ~ southwesterly direction with the line between said University
and Anderson to a point at the northeast corner of a tract of land
conveyed to Unruh, which is on the present boundary of the Town of
Sellersburg;
Thence in a northwesterly direction with said Unruh tract and
said present town boundary to a point on the southeast line of ~
tract of land belonging to Hughes and Ocs;
Thence northeastwardly with said Hughes and Oca and the
northwest line of Koehler to a point on the west right-of-way line
of New State Road 60; said point also being the northeast corner
of Byers;
Thence southeastwardly with said State Road 60 right-of-way to
the point of beginning and containing acres of Iand, more or
less.
