RESOLUTION REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE
USE AND BENEFIT OF THE JEFFERSONVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS,

a new fire house to be known as Engine 93 on
property located on Hamburg Pike in the City of
the Jeffersonville Board of Public Works and
undertaken to have two appraisers who are
engaged in making appraisals and trained as
appraisers in the State of Indiana to determine the fair market
value for said property; and
WHEREAS, the real property desired to be purchased is
currently owned by S & R Truck Tire Center, Inc., and the
owners of said corporation are desirous of selling the property

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
of Jef fersonville that pursuant to Indiana Code
the Council hereby expresses its interest in
making a purchase of specified property for the use and benefit
of the Jeffersonville Fire Department in constructing Engine
House 93, which property is more fully described on the plat
diagram attached hereto as Exhibit A. The Council further
acknowledges that it has been given the appraisals by the Board
of Public Works and Safety for its use and benefit in making
this determination. In the event that the property can be
purchased for less than the average appraised value, the
Council hereby gives its consent to the extent required by
Indiana law to the Jeffersonville Board of Public Works and
Safety for making such purchase for the use and benefit of the
Jeffersonville Fire Department.
