RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY FOR THE JEFFERSONVILLE FIRE
DEPARTMENT TO APPLy FOR CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, the jeffersonville Fire Department has
extraordinary funding needs in terms of paying for room, board,
and travel allowances to' officers engaged in additional
training while out of town, among other specific needs; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of the jeffersonville Fire Department,
Ronald A~C~l~s.~.~as requested the Council to allow him to
obtain a ~ card for the jeffersonvllle Fire Department for
use in such situations; and
wHEREAS, said card is to be obtained upon the condition
that the city of jeffersonvitle will not pay any accrued
interest charges for the same and the procurement of the card
is merely for the convenience of the Firefighters in attending
such training sessions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the city of jef fersonville that the je f fer ~en~i~%le ]Fire
Department is authorized to obtain a~crWdit card 'upon
terms and conditions it deems reasonable provided that no
application for reimbur.sement of interest charges, late
charges, account fees, or any other service charges are made to
the Common Council for payment out of the General Fund of the
City of Jeffersonville nor any other account which is
maintained by the ClerkuTreasurer, and that any such charge
will be solely the responsibility of the jeffersonville Fire
Department.
