ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING PLAN
FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
has been put on notice that the Jeffersonville Planning
Commission has filed a required notice with the Recorder of
Clark County, Indiana, whereby the Planning Commission has
expressed its intent and desire to extend its zoning authority
within the two-mile fringe area pursuant governing Indiana Law;
and, copy of this notice is attached hereto as Exhibit "A";
and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council has carefully considered the
action taken by the Planning Commission, and agrees therewith;
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville that it hereby amends the comprehensive
plan of the city to include territorial zoning jurisdiction
within the two-mile fringe of the existing city corporate
limits in an area which is more fully set out by the map
attached to the notice filed by the Planning Commission with
Clark County. The subject is more fully and generally
described as follows:
That area which is south of the right-of-way line of
Utica Pike, which is south of the southernly right-of
way line of Utica Pike between the existing corporate
limits of the City of jeffersonville on the west and
the jeffersonville Township line on the east. This
area shall further extend and apply to all locations
in the subject area which are currently a part of the
City of Jeffersonville by virtue of previous annexation
as well as those areas which are part of the unincorp-
orated area of.Jeffers~nville Township, including, but
not limited to, those ~reas which extend into the Ohio
River.
