ORDINANCE DECLARING FIELDHOUSE ROOF EMERGENCY SITUATION
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the
Common Council of the City of jeffersonville that the roof of
the Fieldhouse is in serious disrepair and that water is
leaking through said roof and damaging the interior of the
building; and,
WHEREAS, it is hereby deemed to be prudent to immediately
commence replacing, repairing, and adding new rubber roof in
order to prevent serious damage and decay; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to take emergency action without
securing final approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners
for purposes of appropriating money for t~ls expenditure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of
the City of jeffersonville that the situation regarding the
roof at the jeffersonville Fieldhouse in the City of
jeffersonville, Indiana, is hereby declared an emergency, and
the Council hereby authorizes the immediate expenditure of a
sum up to $26,000.00 from the Cumulative Capital Improvement
Fund for the replacing, repairing, and adding new rubber roof
for said structure. This ordinance can serve as official
notice to the State Board of Tax Commissioners of the emergency
action of this Council,
