RESOLUTION DEMANDING REPAYMENT OF FUNDS EXPENDED ON BEHALF
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS,
experienced
development
the Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment
an unexpected shortfall in funds for the
of the Falls Landing Riverfront Development
Project in the fall of 1988; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of
the City of jeffersonville
responded by passing Ordinance No. 88-OR-39 entitled "An
Ordinance Authorizing a Short-Term Loan by the City of
Jeffersonville", and Ordinance No. 88-OR-44 entitled "An
Ordinance Authorizing the Issuance and Sale of Tax Revenue
Notes in the Principal Amount of $200,000"; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville is currently retiring
those debt obligations as they become due.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, that it hereby demands
that the Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment repay all
funds expended by the City of Jeffersonville on the
Department's behalf from the first available funds accruing to
the Department from the Falls Landing Riverfront Development
Project, regardless of whether those funds are the product of
the lease or sale of property, or bond proceeds.
Passed and adopted this day of
1990, by the Common Council of the City of
Clark County, Indiana.
