the City of jeffersonville,Indiana have been
changed by legal process resulting in major
changes in shape,size,and numbering of such
precincts and
WHEREAS,recent annexation and growth in the territory
a%d and population has further changed the
distribution of precincts into districts and
WHEREAS, the Common Council ,Cityof jeffersonvillle,
has expressed a desire to create new
voting districts
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Common Council
establish by future ordinance the following
districts composed of the following
precincts:
Distrct One ...... Precincts 1,2,4 and 5
District Two ..... Precincts 3,6, and 14
District Three -- Precincts 7,8, and 9
District Four --- Precincts 12,15 and Meadows
Subdivision area
District Five --- Precincts 10,11 and 13
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THIS resolution serve
as notification to aL1 citizens and local
governing agencies and governments of the desire
for the Common Council to redistrict by Council
Ordinance on or Before November 8 ,1990.
Passed and adopted this 15th day of Septmber, 1990, by the Common
Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana.
