PRESENT(VIRTUAL): CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Mike Moore called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall. The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. Andy Crouch and Rob Waiz served on the board. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from April 17, 2024. Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll. Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: 1. Len Ashack-Request for approval of road closure on Cherry Street at the intersection of 8th Street on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 starting at 7:00 am and reopening at 5:00 pm on May 2, 2024— Mr. Ashack advised there is a lateral on the east side of Cherry Street that connects to the main sewer line that is sinking and needs to be repaired. They will be working from May 1, 2024 until May 2, 2024. Mr. Waiz made a motion to approve the closure and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. 2. Andy Crouch—Request for approval of road closure on New Albany Charlestown Pike— Mr. Crouch advised this request will allow CSX to replace the crossing on New Albany Charlestown Pike. The closure will take three days and it will be the week of April 29th but he is unsure of the days. There is a detour route going down Truckers Blvd and back out the industrial park. Mr. Waiz made a motion to approve the closure and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. ATTORNEYS REPORT: Mr. Merkley stated he had nothing for the attorneys report.
