Dear City Civilian Retiree:
The City of Jeffersonville continues to provide employees and retirees with a comprehensive and
affordable health insurance plan. As the cost of health insurance continues to increase,the city has
been able to maintain an attractive plan which provides a wide range of benefits. With our self-insured
plan,the City of Jeffersonville is pleased to announce that our renewal has been negotiated and we will
be working with UMR (United Medical Resources)as our health care provider.
This lett •' to notify civilian retirees that the monthly premium for 2024 health insurance has
decrease:'Retiree rates are based on compliance with Ordinance 2004-R-12,which require the City to
pay 75%of the health insurance premium and the retiree to pay1526 of the premium.
The attachment outlines the monthly costs for each program.
