JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA, AS "ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREAS"
WHEREAS, it has been requested that certain areas within
City of jeffersonville, Indiana, be designated as an

economic revitalization area pursuant to
et seq.; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville,
Indiana, recognizes the need to stimulate growth and to
maintain a sound economy within the City of jeffersonville;
and,
WHEREAS, certain areas of the City are undesirable for,
or impossible of, normal development and occupancy because of a
lack of development, cessation of growth, deterioration of
improvements or character of occupancy, age, obsolescence,
substandard buildings or other factors which have impaired
values or prevented a normal development of property or use of
property; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville
further recognizes that incentives to locate development in
these under-utilized areas would be in the City's best
interest; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville
further recognizes that it would be beneficial to designate
certain areas within the City that presently qualify as
economic revitalization areas for the ultimate purpose of
granting deductions against the assessed value of property for
real property taxation purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City is vested with the
authority to designate certain areas of the City to be economic
revitalization areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of jeffersonville, Indiana, that the area generally
described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit "B", attached
hereto, is declared and designated an economic revitalization
area.
Pursuant to the provisions of Indiana law, this area is
hereby designated by the Common Council of the City of
jeffersonville as an Economic Revitalization Area.

The area in the City of jeffersonville, Indiana,
commencing at the intersection of Tenth Street (State
Highway 62), thence northeasterly along the center
line of Nachand Line to a point at the rear property
line of area commonly known as the Youngstown
Shopping Center, to a point southwesterly
approximately 150' from Main Street, to the southwest
boundary Of the Youngstown Shopping Center property,
thence southeasterly along said western boundary to a
point intersecting at Tenth Street (State
Highway 62), thence northerly along the western
right-of-way line of Tenth Street (State Highway 62).
This area is more particularly illustrated on the map
attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
