A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITH THE CITY OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA, AS "ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREAS"
WHEREAS, it has been requested that certain areas within
the City of jeffersonville, Indiana, be designated as an
economic revitalization area pursuant to I.C. 6-1.1-12.1
et seq.; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville,
recognizes the need to stimulate growth and to
a sound economy within the City of jeffersonville;
Indiana,
maintain
and,
WHEREAS, certain areas of the City are undesirable for,
or impossible of, normal development and occupancy because of a
lack of development, cessation of growth, deterioration of
improvements or character of occupancy, age, obsolescence,
substandard buildings or other factors which have impaired
values or prevented a normal development of property or use of
property; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of jeffersonville
further recognizes that incentives to locate development in
these under-utilized areas would be in the City's best
interest; and,
further

WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
recognizes that it would be beneficial to designate
areas within the City that presently qualify as
revitalization areas for the ultimate purpose of
granting deductions against the assessed value of property for
real property taxation purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City is vested with the
authority to designate certain areas of the City to be economic
revitalization areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of jeffersonville, Indiana, that:
The following area be declared and designated as an
economic revitalization area:
Being a part of Survey'No' 5~ of'~he Illinois Grant in Clark
County, indiana, and being'also a part of the property
conveyed to F & B Partners as described by deed recorded in
Deed Drawer 21, Instrument No. 15,044 ; said part being more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at an iron pin on the common corner of Illinois
Srant Surveys No. 35 and No. 54 and in the line of Survey
No. 47, also being in 'the centerline of Coopers Lane, thence
South 50 degrees West along the line dividing Surveys No. 5~
and No. 47 and along said centerllne 259.06 feet to a
railroad spike in the Eastern right of way line of the
railroad~ thence South 05 degrees, 56 minutes, West along
said railroad right of way Sine 627.48 feet to an iron fence

point of beginning, containing 9.000 acres, more or less,

Pursuant to the provisions Of Indiana law, this area
hereby designated by the common Council of the City
jeffersonville as an Economic Revitalization Area.
