CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room
in City Hall. The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve the minutes from August 17, 2022..
Mr.Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed,3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr.Crouch; motion
passed,3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Josh Darby/Andy Crouch-Awarding of bid on the Charlestown Pike Sidewalk Project from Abby
Chase to Holmans Lane—Mr. Darby advised two bids were received and they were close,within
$4,000 of one another. The low bid was Excel Excavating in the amount of$395,587. Mr.Crouch
advised he does have these funds in his budget.
Mr.Crouch made the motion to approve the bid and Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion
passed, 3-0.
2. Paul Northam-Request for approval of street closure on October 1,2022 from 4:00 pm to 10:00.
pm on Blanche)Terrace for neighborhood street party—Mr. Northam advised Blanche)Terrace
neighborhood would like to host a street party on October 1 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm. They
are requesting to close down Blanche)with a hard closure at Utica Pike and a soft closure at the
two entrances on Park Place. Mr. Northam stated he would coordinate with the Street Department
the need for barricades at these locations. Mayor Moore confirmed that JPD was aware and okay
with the closure.
Mr.'Waiz made a motion to approve the closure and Mr.Crouch seconded the motion; motion
passed, 3-0.
3. Les Merkley-2022-R-3 Request for approval of Joint Resolution of Parks Authority and Board of
Public Works and Safety Establishing Special Events Permitting Process(approved by Parks
Authority at meeting on Monday,August 22,2022)—Mr. Merkley advised this is a joint Resolution
between the Parks Authority and the Board of Public Works and Safety. It has been adopted by the
Parks Authority and once it is adopted by this board it will outline the process for special events
permits that has been followed for the past couple of years.

ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Moore advised a special guest would be coming this morning, Ethan the dog who was saved
by the Kent cky Humane Society will be visiting today.
