The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from July 27,2022. Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr. Crouch; motion passed, 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: 1. Desai or Chris with World of Foodie Fest-Request for approval of road closure on Michigan Avenue at the Depot on August 13,2022 for Foodie Fest—On August 13th they will be hosting a Foodie Fest at the Depot hosted by Upland. As of right now they are requesting for a road closure at Michigan Avenue. This is a free event and so far 3,500 have responded to getting tickets on Eventbrite. They would like to keep all food trucks on the blacktop and have a requirement for each food truck to be safe serve certified and they are working with Clark County Health Department. Mr. Crouch advised they probably needed to discuss the best places to close. Chief Kavanaugh advised they need to check the events to make sure there is not a conflict. Mr. Crouch made a motion to table the request until next meeting, Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. 2. Heather Metcalf-Request for approval of contract between the City and AT&T—Mrs. Metcalf advised this contract will lower some current prices saving the City money. Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the contract, seconded by Mr.Waiz; motion passed,3-0. 3. Heather Metcalf-Request for approval of contract between the City and CBS Total Technology— Mrs. Metcalf advised this is for the postage machine keeping it the same price that is currently being paid. If the City waits until after August the price will increase. Mr.Waiz made the motion to approve the contract,seconded by Mr. Crouch; motion passed, 3-0. Page 1 of 2 4. Michael O'Brien/Kevin Morlan-Request for approval to purchase a grappler truck from RDK Truck Sales—Mr. O'Brien advised this is to purchase another claw truck and the money is in Mr. Morlan's budget. Mr.Crouch made the motion to approve the purchase, seconded by Mr.Waiz; motion passed,3-0. 5. Paul Northam-Request for approval of the following City Event Permit Applications-Mr. Northam advised the Events Committee met yesterday. Mayor Moore asked if the City can post when those meetings are so that the public is aware. Mr. Northam advise the committee approved 4 different events for the upcoming months. • Greater Faith Community Outreach, Lottie Oglesby Park on Saturday,September 24,2022 from 9 am until 9 pm. They are not requesting any City services. • VFM Parade& Muster,706 Spring and Wharf on Saturday,September 24,2022—This will be from 11 am until 12 pm. The Police will be escorting the parade. • Halloween Block Party, 200 Block of Spring Street on Saturday;October 29, 2022—This is put on by the Alcove. • The Life Foundation & KY Cares Present"Rollin with My Sistas 3K Breast Cancer Walk", Big Four Station Park, Pearl Street on Saturday, October 29, 2022-There will not be road closures;they will just be using sidewalks. Mr.Crouch made the motion to approve the events,seconded by Mr. Waiz; motion passed, 3-0. ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Reischl announced the start of drafting the new Comprehensive Plan. There is an interactive portal. Mayor Moore advised there is a neighborhood meeting at Stonybrook next Tuesday at 6:30 pm and he thinks that it would be good to bring this up at the neighborhood meeting as well.
