BEFORE THE JEFFERSONVILLE COMMON COUNCIL
STATE OF INDIANA
A RESOLUTION COMMITTING
AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FUNDS FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
OF NORTH WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville has received funds from the American
Rescue Plan ("ARP."); and
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville needs to expand its North Wastewater
Treatment Plant ("NWTP") to better serve residents and businesses in the area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville believes ARP funds are appropriate to help
pay the costs for the design and construction of the expansion at the NWTP; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville has approximately $5.8 million remaining in
ARP Funds unappropriated; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council for Jeffersonville,
Indiana, as the fiscal body for the City of Jeffersonville, hereby commits any and all
remaining funds from the ARP Fund in the amount of $5.8 million towards the costs for
the design and construction of the expansion at the NWTP; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Common Council for the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana that use of ARP funds shall require an appropriation and
processed and approved as any other claim;by.the fiscal body; and
This Resolution shall be in full force'and effect after its passage by the Council
and approval by the Mayor.
