Clark Miles sat on the board in place of Andy Crouch APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Miles made the motion to approve the minutes from May 4,2022. Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Miles made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr.Waiz; motion passed, 3-0. L OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: • 1. Sarah Green/Les Merkley-Request for approval of contract for on call coverage between the City and New Washington Washington Animal Control Services,Inc(pending legal preparation of a written document for Mayor to sign)— Mr.`Merkley advised this is to contract with New Washington Animal Control Service, Inc,a nonprofit that is not connected to New Washington Township. Mr. Merkley has drafted a contract for professional services for them to handle any on call issues after hours,on weekend and holidays. The agreed amount is$1,666.66 per month. Mayor Moore said he is in favor of this and it will save the City on overtime. Mr. Merkley requested a motion to approve contingent on legal review and changes that may need to be made. Mr. Miles made a motion to approve the contract contingent on the review, Mr.Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed,3-0. 2. Len Ashack-Request for approval of road closure on Charlestown Avenue between Crestview and Brighton from May 16,2022 through May 24,2022(will be closed to thru traffic, but open to local traffic)—Mr.Ashack advised they will replacing a section of sewer on Charlestown Avenue. This will be open to local traffic but closed to thru traffic. r t Mr.Waiz made a motion to approve the closure seconded by Mr. Miles; motion passed, 3-0.
