HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW April 13, 2022 CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MINUTES April 13,2022 PRESENT(IN PERSON): Rob Waiz Director of Redevelopment,Andy Crouch City Engineer, Emily Dippie Public Art Administrator, Bill Dixon Asst City Engineer, Elisha Gibson Manager of Sewer Billing,Shawn Grant JFD Chief,Sara Green Animal Shelter Diir,Amy Huffman Community Liaison,Scott McVoy Asst Chief JPD, Heather Metcalf City Controller,Clark Miles Street Commissioner, Kevin Morlan Director of Street Dept., Paul Northam Dir of Parks, Michael O'Brien Dir of Vehicle Maintenance, Christy O'Neil Mayor's Executive Assistant, Logan Payne IT Specialist, Chad Reischl Dir of Planning and Zoning,Amber Ridings Asst Parks Director, Brian Smith Safety Manager, Larry Wallace Building Commissioner, Lisa Gill City Clerk and Patsy Kiser Deputy Clerk CALL TO ORDER: Rob Waiz called the meeting to,order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall. Rob Waiz,Andy Crouch, and Clark Miles served on the board. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from April 6, 2022. - Mr. Miles seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Miles made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mr. Crouch; motion passed, 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: 1. Michael O'Brien-Request for approval of contract between City,Vehicle Maintenance and Action Equipment fora new power wash Hotsy for the wash bay— Mr. O'Brien advised this is to replace the current one that is currently in vehicle maintenance that is very aged. He does have the money in his budget to support the contract. Mr. Crouch made a motion to approve the contract seconded by Mr. Miles; motion passed, 3-0. 2. Chad Reischl-Request for approval of two(2)Outdoor Seating Applications for Pearl Street Treats and Pearl Street Game&Coffee House— Mr. Reischl advised there are two applications(Pearl Street Treats and Pearl Street Game and Coffee House)for outdoor seating. Jay Ellis with Jeffersonville Main Street and Cody Gray with Pearl Street Treats were present to answer any questions that the board might have. Assistant Chief McVoy expressed concern about the impact this would have for traffic and requested it be tabled until JPD could look at the location and the plans in depth. Mr. Crouch made a motion to table the applications,seconded by Mr. Miles; motion passed,3-0.
