John McCarthy called the meeting to order at 6:01 pm.

Old Business
Approval of minutes from November 8, 2021—
-Motion by Kofi Darku, 2nd by Denise Freville—all voted to approve
Sugar Skull
-Emily gave an update on the Sugar Skull Event, and her conversations with teachers at Jeffersonville High
School. She suggested that it would not be feasible to recreate at the level of past events given the workload of the staff
and teachers at this point.
Allocation of$10,000 budget in lieu of Sugar Skull Event
-Sarah suggested pros/cons discussion for the alternates of the Theater Festival and the Open Door Project.
Discussion among the Commissioners ensued. After copious amounts of engaging,loquacious oration and debate, it was
decided that we should move forward with a vote.

Digital Gallery Update
—Emily stated that they will be installed tomorrow. There will be a ribbon cutting on Thursday morning at 10am.
NAC Subcommittee Update
-Emily gave an update on the progress of the subcommittee meetings, with discussions in terms scope and
future. A final update will be given in January, after the subcommittee's final meeting.
Chairmanship will be up for a vote in January
-Emily asked everyone to be thinking about nominations for Chairman,and to be ready to vote at that meeting.
Commissioner Comments:
Kofi Darku—Amazed at how quickly a year has passed. Very impressed with Emily and how much we've accomplished
in a short amount of time.
Susan Harrison—Asked to make a toast to the Commission and to Emily for a great year.
Sarah Young—Impressed with the success of the Holiday Market event this past Saturday. And she also brought
"Sarahp" butter gifts for all of the Commissioners.
Emily—Appreciates everyone so much!
Motion to adjourn by Kofi Darku. Seconded by Abigail Richmer. Motion passed unanimously.
Adjourned at 6:42 pm.
