She is very excited. If you would like to stop by and say hello she will be in and out of the art center all week. Story Trail Unveiling —Emily Dippie I would like to take a minute to celebrate the wonderful job our "Sub Committee" done on this event. To see the kids with their parents, and grandparents, everyone was very happy, said John. I also want to brag on our subcommittee, said Emily. I have a ton of pictures from Story Trail event, said Sarah. I had such encouraging words from Principal Shireman and Art Teacher Parks about the impact this event had on their students and how they are looking forward to next year as advocates. New Business: Digital Gallery—Location Change—Possible Launch Date Change—Emily Dippie I had mentioned that digital gallery committee and decided on a location, we are now not able to place the digital gallery in Big 4. Redevelopment wants to keep it a green space only. I wish I had a set location for the digital gallery, but I do not. Moving forward I have a couple meeting set up to hopefully push through location approvals to bring to committee. Also, I will bring estimates from Neal's Concrete to the committee so we can set a new install date. I will email an update out after my meetings this week. Is there a possibility to get the footers in and maybe install the screens in the Spring, asks Abby. Emily says, we do not want the units sitting in storage with possibility of damage. Jeffrey's Journey Update and Event Reminder—Emily Dippie Jeffrey's journey has begun. Event is Saturday 1-3. Starts at the Overlook and we will release people to hunt Jeffrey, which is location #1 and will end at Wild flower area at NOCO, which is location #10. All sculptures have been created and ready to go, so far we have installed 7 Jeffrey's. Thank you to our drainage department for help with the installs. Again want to brag on our subcommittee they have done so much work with this event, with marketing and Sarah has even made sure we have cute little Jeffrey cookies. If the weather is good I believe we will have a great turnout. NEA Big Read Press Day—October 5-Emily Dippie Brian Bell presented this last month and you all seemed really interested in it, so I went ahead and done a soft commit. On October 5 they are having a media day to announce all partners for this event. They did extend the windows of when workshops can be done, they extended to March so that gives us a little more breathing room. I will email all details once I receive them. NoCo Mura Mile New Date—October 23/30-Emily Dippie I still feel like this is a worthwhile project to do, So I have two dates in mind. Weather just needs to participate with us. I was going to go ahead and do a press release, as we always do for each event. Week of October 20 is when we will need to prepare for this event correct? Asks John. Yes, says Emily. We will have to restripe where the stencils were, Tom at Heuser is going to shake up our paint. So, we are saying schedule for October 23' with rain date of October 30`h correct? Asks, Emily. Yes, says committee. Photo Biennial Opening Reception—October 8 @ 6:00 p.m. -Emily Dippie Ivy Tech hung a photo biennial display in the NAC. Library is having their opening reception at 4:30 p.m. and their task is to push people to us at 6:00 p.m. If you would like to help, I need help picking up food, and supplies. Teah, & Sarah both volunteer to do running. What if those of us that can volunteer, if we wear our badges, we can sign the card saying they have been there. Says John. Theme Planning for 2022—Emily Dippie Ideas and Vote Some ideas we have come up with are Blossoming, Sustain, Sustance, Rhythms, Cultivate, Persevere, Amplify, Steadfast, Enduring, Prevail, Invigorate, transform, nourishing, Arise. Do we want to do a double round of voting to take down to top picks and then pick from there for final, asks John. Emily said, yes I believe that will be the best way to do it. Top four picks: Rhythms, Cultivate, Amplify, & Invigorate. Winner is Amplify— Taking things that have already been done and raising higher. Raising new voices. Maintaining the message.
