MINUTES
October 27,2021

CALL TO ORDER: Rob Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room in City
Hall. Amy Huffman is also serving on the board today.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr.Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from October 20,
2021. Mrs. Huffman seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr.Crouch made the motion to approve payroll,seconded by Mrs. Huffman;
motion passed 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
1. DeLynn Rutherford-Request for approval of the following for Depot Days on October 30,
November 6 and November 13:
• Request for approval of road closure on 7th Street between Michigan and Ohio— Mr.
Waiz advised DeLynn is requesting approval of Depot Days on October 30, November 6,
and November 13 for road closures on 7th Street between Michigan and Ohio.
Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the closure on October 30, November 6,and November 13
and Mrs. Huffman seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0.
2. Les Merkley-Request for approval of road closures in Steeplechase on Halloween night,Sunday,
October 31,2021- Mr. Merkley stated this is an annual event for a Trunk or Treat and will be
Sunday night from 5:30 until 7:30 and they need the closures from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. These will
be at the intersection of Justinian and Idledice,Tooten Hill and Idledice,Tooten Hill and Justinian.
They will need barricades.
Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the closures and Mrs. Huffman seconded the motion;
motion passed 3-0.
3. Scott McVoy-Request for approval of contract between Jeff Police Department and Ladyfingers
Catering for catering services on November 19,2021 for 2021 PD Awards Banquet—Assistant
Chief McVoy stated this is a contract with Ladyfingers for catering for the Awards Banquet and is
funded by donations from the local community.

Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the contract and Mrs. Huffman seconded the motion;
motion passed 3-0.
4. Scott McVoy-Request for approval of Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Instructor Development
Memorandum of Understanding—Assistant Chief McVoy stated this MOU is to make sure the
instructor gets paid. The Police Department will be reimbursed by the Law Enforcement Academy
at a later date.
Mr.Crouch made a motion to approve the MOU and Mrs. Huffman seconded the motion; motion
passed 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
