HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-OR-43ORDINANCE NO. 91-DR-'~3 AN ORDINANCE FIXING BASIC SALARIES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE~ INDIANA FOR THE YEAR 1992 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE~ INDIANA: Section 1 That from and after the first day of January 1992~ all appointed officers and employees of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, shall receive a $1,000.00 increase in base salary per year. Section 2 This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville~ Indiana. 1991. Clerk and Treasurer Spencer revieweC the budgets and rates as they haVe~ been worked to this ~ci. nt at the Council's direction without ~ny allowance '~or any increase ir, salaries. He trion reviewed the necessary procedures and deadlines for ~be 199~ budgets. Following ail d~scussion, Councilperson Perkins mado the motion pass Ordinance No. 91-0R-43, An (]rdinance Fixing Basic Salaries Of Appointed Officers and Emp loye~s Of ~he City Of Jeffersonvi Ilo, Indiana For The Year 199~, for the third and final reading, second,ed by Councilperson Harrod and opened ¢or discussion. Plre Department overtime and manpower were discussed. Following ~11 comments, the vote was called ~o~ on Ordinance No. 91-OR-A3, ~hich is recorded ~3s a tie with the ¢ollowing roll call vote: Ayes: Councilpersons Carter, Perkins, and H~FFOd. Nays: Councilperson Grooms, Waiz, and Cla~p. against Ordinance No. Perkins. and Narrod leave Mayor Orem then voted causing the Ordinance to fail. at 4:qO o'clock P.M.
